Design concept
Many modern schemes are 'over designed'. This gets in the way of the mathematics and distracts the children. IPM sets out to present the work clearly with as little clutter as possible. Remember, the exercises in the pupils' books are designed to be completed quickly. Children only record what they can already do in their heads!
