IPM Main Menu
IPM has been so successful during its development phase that it has attracted wide publicity in the press and on television. Government ministers including the Prime Minister, HMI and other experts in the field have been impressed with the quality of the work when visiting pilot schools. The development of IPM influenced the thinking behind the National Numeracy Strategy.

IPM is a unique mathematics scheme for primary schools. It has been tried and tested by hundreds of classroom teachers and has been improved year by year in the light of their comments.

We believe that IPM is the only modern scheme to have been developed by teachers for teachers and to have been trialled systematically before publication.

IPM includes detailed lesson-by-lesson teaching materials, and full guidance on successful interactive whole-class teaching. The teachers’ manuals and pupil books contain virtually everything you need to teach mathematics well, to develop real understanding and to raise standards. IPM addresses the full requirements of the new National Curriculum and the National Numeracy Strategy. It is proven to make a dramatic impact on standards.

IPM is now being published commercially for the first time. Now your school can join the 22 000 pupils and 850 teachers already using the materials nationally. You can join in their success.

IPM is available for years 1 to 6.
